About Me more brains than looks I'm intelligent, honest, funny, and independent. I moved from "upstate" NY in 1997 for better job opportunities in Research Triangle Park. I volunteer a couple of days a month at the local SPCA. That's from where I adopted my cats (see my "Friends and Family" links). I started on a transformation in 2006 by joining Weight Watchers in late February 2006. I've lost 122 pounds and have reached my goal and gained a great appreciation for nutrition facts. I never used to pay any attention to that stuff!!

My brother and I would help out after school, during the summer (summer vacation?? what's that?!). At the SPCA, I'm calling upon those retail skills once again.

Lifestyle Smoking never Alcohol socially Food healthy Exercise every other day I recently became very interested in caloric and fat content of everything I eat and have losing a lot of weight. Thank you, Weight Watchers! I'm a little pissed at all the restaurants that contribute to the obesity epidemic with selections having poor nutrition, especially when the company doesn't even publish nutrition content! I used to rarely exercise but am starting to walk several days a week. I want to do more bicycling, hiking, canoeing, and kayaking.
