About Us

SocialGrid was founded to provide the world with free search system to promote social networking and enable people to find their soulmate in a way that is cost-effective and universally appealing. SocialGrid is dedicated primarily to improving search quality for its members.

The company is privately owned and founded by me, Chau Vuong. I am 35 years old. Prior to founding these companies, I was a pharmaceutical equity analyst at Robertson Stephens, an investment bank, covering emerging pharmaceutical and drug delivery companies. Prior to this, I worked for Wentworth, Hauser, & Violich as a healthcare equity analyst. Before that, I was a strategic marketing consultant at Genentech, a leading biotech company. I also was involved in various pharmacoeconomics, pharmacokinetics, and toxicology studies for pharmaceutical and biotech companies including Johnson & Johnson, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Isis Pharmaceuticals, and Gilead Sciences.

Currently, I own a financial software company that caters to financial service companies, private equity, hedge funds, and CPA firms. Yes, I am a workaholic and work over 100 hours a week.

I hold a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of California, San Francisco, and Bachelor degrees in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, as well as Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Psychology or Economics someday when I retire. I am extremely picky and have dedicated my life and wealth to finding my soulmate and helping others to do the same.
